rider69 18
How about down the road at Norikura? Pension Hobbi for great food from an old Tokyu head chef, fresh jersey milk in the mornings. A 5 minute lazy drive to Tsugaike or naughtys. Cortina and Norikura are ski in and ski out. You will have to search the net for this place though but it is worth the roughly 6000 yen. Chriselle 158
We stayed there a few years back and there were quite a few cheap places...well under 6000 yen. I'll have to ask my wife the name of the places we decided on. One had a really freaky dude running the place so I didn't let my daughter wonder around too much....lol. Paranoid papa on point..as always.
GoryuGordon 0
I have heard some very negative things about Hobbi. Not clean, bad attitude from the staff. Some friends came over from Australia, stayed one night then moved out to somewhere else. Personally I would very much avoid.

tripitaka 0
Thanks for all the tips. Just one thing though, my buddy's traveling solo and most places don't seem to cater to them.
