OUfreeski2 0
Congrats to the youngman!!Even some Aussies in the top positions. Good to break up the American/Canadian dominance!! Check the article>www.freezeonline.com
Fattwins 0
Good on the guy now lets have him back it up. Where were all the inverts this season. I saw less inverts in comps this year.
OUfreeski2 0
Yeah, I don`t know.Think in a halfpipe comp there are a variety of things they consider when scoring. The type of trick(invert etc),amplitude etc.And some categories count for more than others
Fattwins 0
After looking around the net these days I just see more corked moves then inverts.
OUfreeski2 0
Got sequences of Boyd Easley and Chris Turpin doing switch rodeos in the pipe. That`d score highly for difficulty but hard to do with style I suppose.
jared 0
I once asked someone why the snowboarding in the olympics was so tame relative to what they can do and the answer was that the scoring system is designed to reward snowboarders rather than acrobats. I guess once you put it in the olympics any old gymnast could learn to snowboard and pull tricks that your average snobo can only dream of just to get a medal - not really the direction they want the sport to go in. Fattwins 0
Style is great but Id like to see a mix of both. A full on sloopy run sucks. But one ballsy trick and a bunch of stylie ones is pretty cool. I still think Candide through down the best pipe run at the Xgames.
enderzero 0
Seems to me the pipe is all about the whirly bird these days. How many back to back big spins can you do. Not really all that fun to watch...but the air those guys get blows my freakin mind.
Fattwins 0
They do start about 50 meters back and come hauling in with crazy speed. The Japanese finally made names for themselves in both snowboarding and sking this year.
OUfreeski2 0
Yeah, that run of Candides` in SM3 is very solid. It encompasses verts yet xtremely stylie!!
jared 0
just watched it all today - CR prob would have taken it if he didnt fall (but he did) videopage
Fattwins 0
Just watched it myself. Phil needed to get higher and CR needed to stomp that last air. I didnt like Okazakis run all that much, he was busting high but the winter x games had better runs I think.
