zebedee 1
Hi there Anyone able to help with ETC discounts? I'm having trouble with the Japanese info on the discounts (English site doesn't go into the details). Am I correct in thinking that on a holiday it's 50% off durin the daytime and then I can still have 50% off 5pm-8pm? Can I use both of those in one day if both are under 100km? Also, if the time limit is 8pm, is that the last time to ENTER the expressway or the time you need to be OFF the expressway? Thanks
bobby12 0
it depends on the road. generally if you get off the highway after midnight, or on it before 4 or 5am, you will get about a 30% discount. then there are loads of random discounts you can get depending on road and time. in other words, you have to be a jp speaker to fully understand it. Yes that is correct. Just the once between 5pm and 8pm and twice during the day periods. Quote: Can I use both of those in one day if both are under 100km? Yes. One time needs to be under 100km. If you go over 100km, the discount is ZERO!
iiyamadude 6
Lets ETC.
scouser 4
Looks like they really want to expand on the discounts to encourage people to use them and get out. Good thing.
television 0
I think it is confusing to Japanese also. But there are good discount to find. Perhaps get a Japanese friend to outline the main ones at the time and plan before you use.
