any resort with less than 8 courses. hakuba 47's nazi like patrol. i like the place if i dont get caught and flogged.

 

never been never want to wings hills gifu.

washigatake. whitepia.

hakuba highlands.

 

i dont like ontake and any resort in a 30 minute radius of the place.

personally I hate the drive up to Shiga Kogen. The road is icy as hell, one lane winding and lots of Tokyo posers there. I think you can have better times in other places BUT

 

good if you arent driving

good if beginning or end of season (its very high up)

good if you are a Tokyo ****er :p

In Hakuba, I didn't like Sun Alpina Kashimayari very much. It seemed quite limited in terms of terrain. I don't like 47 very much taken on its own, although with Goryu it can be good.

ender: I've been to Shiga Kogen once for a 3 day trip. Found it to be more of a skiers resort though:

- had alot of narrow flat areas you needed to traverse to get to different areas

- had some "skiers only" areas mad.gif

- had an older egg-shaped gondola that did not accomodate boards very well

 

On the positive side, it is quite expansive; you can explore alot of courses over a few days.

On the very negative side, I did not find alot of easily accessible off piste areas.
