control_freak 0
OK, I'm new here and I've got to choose where I might be going this season. There seems to be lots of info on the places that might be good targets, but is there anywhere that really should be avoided for any reason? Cheers
peterson 0
Wada Toge. Why? They refused to install that teleport system.

grungy-gonads 54
Not the old Wada thing again I don't like little tiny places either, although they do have their uses - little kiddies and families are most welcome to frequent them!
zwelgen 0
personally I hate the drive up to Shiga Kogen. The road is icy as hell, one lane winding and lots of Tokyo posers there. I think you can have better times in other places BUT good if you arent driving good if beginning or end of season (its very high up) good if you are a Tokyo ****er
Ocean11 0
Wada Toge? Where's that then? In Hakuba, I didn't like Sun Alpina Kashimayari very much. It seemed quite limited in terms of terrain. I don't like 47 very much taken on its own, although with Goryu it can be good.

enderzero 0
I have rarely heard much about Shiga Kogen from anyone other than Zwelgs. Who else goes there?
Goemon 0
ender: I've been to Shiga Kogen once for a 3 day trip. Found it to be more of a skiers resort though: - had alot of narrow flat areas you needed to traverse to get to different areas - had some "skiers only" areas - had an older egg-shaped gondola that did not accomodate boards very well On the positive side, it is quite expansive; you can explore alot of courses over a few days. On the very negative side, I did not find alot of easily accessible off piste areas.
