Hokkaidough 4
This might have been covered before, but ---- is there no problem with installing US/UK/English version software onto a Japanese Windows OS computer. Just want to make sure before I make a purchase!
tsondaboy 0
No problem at all, but you might need to enable the English language support from the control panel language preferences.
Hokkaidough 4
Just wondering, would there be any issues with registering/activating software? They don't put some silly restrictions on that kind of thing do they?
tsondaboy 0
I am not 100% sure about that, but if there are any restrictions they should say it on the ordering form.
joshnii 2
In my experience, Adobe software from US was ok with online activation - had no problems at all.
veronica 2
I have some English software bought in the states on my machine here. I've had no problems with any of it at all.

snowdude 44
I have Japanese OS, and half my software is English half is Japanese, never had any problems. As a rule you can always install English based software on a Japanese system and it will work with no problems, but the opposite will cause problems unless you have a Japanese language pack installed, and even then there will be conflicts. big-will 7
Same here got lots of english stuff on and it's not a problem at all. Activation and all that lot wasn't either. So I think we're safe buying overseas etc.
tm12881 0
If installing JP software on EN based machine with language pack, you can set the language for the language of programs which are not supporting UNICODE to Japanese and see if it works. It's in the advanced tab of language and regional settings.
