I'm Sexy 0
Hello Does anybody here play squash? Recently I tried it and it was fun. Very good exercise I think! But there are not so many squash court. It is a good game
bobby12 0
I love it, but cannot play it in Japan because of very few courts.
Tubby Beaver 209
It has never appealed to me TBH, my brother plays a lot back home and was always trying to get me to play. I like badminton
grungy-gonads 54
Lack of courts yes. I used to love squash, it was fun and really good exercise.
bobby12 0
Weird how it hasnt taken off in Japan at all. I guess cos it cant be played easily (unlike badminton, volleyball etc that can be played in a school gym).
boardbaka 3
yeah I agree Bobby- strange how it is not at all popular - kids with tennis rackets on the other hand are a dime a dozen - where do you play Sexy - are there any courts you could reccomend ?
Yuki's Passion 1
Played it some in uni as well as racket ball and really loved them. My old gym had squash/racket courts but not my knew gym. The only thing good bout my new gym is its close and its brand new.
Tubby Beaver 209
whats the diff between squash and racquet ball?
farquah 0
I still pay over here, there is a court nearish my place we use. Also tried to set up a squash ladder at the court I play at in Tokyo, but not so many takers. Great game for a sweat and to work out that frustration!!
base40 0
Similar story here. I used to love squash when I was at college, I played about 3 times a week. Haven't played once while I've been here - I can't ever recall actually seeing a squash court here.
bobby12 0
There are some around. One or two gyms have them but they tend to be ancient and not used. The Kobe Club has one too but I cant afford to pay their fees just to play squash once or twice a week, plus its an hours drive from me.
aomorigum 0
There's one near me but like you said bobby12, in pretty bad condition. I don't think I have ever seen anyone use it which is a shame. I used to really like squash.
Yuki's Passion 1
Bobby, the Kobe club has a few good events throughout the year - I remember going there once post footie game last year and drank a great selection of intl beers at a very good price - they made a bit off of it for all their hard work Im sure but nothing like a bar. Hope they continue doing that this year as Id make the trip in for it
scouser 4
When I was back at college we had 4 squash courts about 300m from my house. 1 pound a go it was. Got to play a lot of squash that year!
