I need to get from Tokyo (flying into Narita - arriving in the morning) to Sapporo - if anyone could suggest the best/ quickest/ cheapest way to do it that would be great.

Money isnt too big a deal - i would much rather pay 2x as much to get there 2x as quick but it would be good to review all the possible options.

Al, for the least amount of trouble you could scab yourself onto

1315 All Nippon Airways NH3121 NARITA

1945 All Nippon Airways NH2155 NARITA

2020 Japan Airlines JL3047 NARITA

From Narita.

Or, for much more hassle you need to go to Haneda and catch one of these.

If there is a really long layover between your international flight and that 13:15 ANA flight, it really isn't much of a hassle to get between Narita and Haneda. There is the "Airport Limousine" bus service that will get you directly from the Narita arrival lobby to the Haneda departure lobby in around 45-minutes. They have big luggage spaces below deck and load the stuff for you. I've done this a lot of times since those Narita-Sapporo flights are often booked solid months in advance, and the Haneda-Sapporo flights are often less than 40% full. If you plan on about 3-hours between flights, you are good.

What Ezo said ... There is no problem with getting the limo bus unless there are 4 of you and two of the tickets are for the next bus and the next two are for a bus an hour later! Happened to us a week ago.

Easy to exchange the early tickets for another 2 on the later bus, just caused a bit of mirth.

Agreed!

Narita to Sapporo flights are usually booked up MONTHS in advance - we tried 9 months out - no luck!

Transfer via Airport Limo Bus is simple - the counter is right in front of you when you exit with your luggage, you can buy the tickets there and then, and get the next bus to Haneda.

We also looked at getting the Cassiopea Night Train, but it was all too hard to get a booking from Oz.

Cheapest may not enter into the argument ... it may depend on what is available at this stage.

Try a site like google, then enter "flight tokyo sapporo" without the quotes and see what happens.

Google is your friend almost every time!

al, you're stuffed

"We are pleased to offer you the "Sakitoku"(from Japan Airlines) and "Tabiwari"(from All Nippon Airways) airfares. They are all one-way discount tickets that requires advance purchase(at least 28 days in advance). As the airfare is priced very low it does come with strict ticket conditions. Tickets are non changeable under any circumstances and the penalty for cancellation is 50% of its published airfare. Holding of temporary booking is not possible. Pertaining to ticketing, eticket will be issued shortly after verification of payment."

right i was just about to book flights when i came across a bit that says:

"Regarding your reservation

* This reservation and purchase service, you will be able to reserve domestic flights in Japan for ANA and IBEX Airlines. The services are for Japan residents only."

My main concern being the last line!! My flights will be 2 times the price with JAL so i really would prefer to book through these dudes! Is the whole, you must be a Japanese residant thing just to warn off Gaijin?

Please help soon as! i need to get this booked!!

Muchos Gracias Amigos y Amigas

Found it in another thread. You are arriving on the 18th March, right?

On the Air Do website (in Japanese)

AirDo Value 28 from Haneda at 11:25 and 2:30 is 11,500yen somewhere between 10 and 29 seats left on each.

This lot Haneda to Sapporo on the 18th on the kokunaisen.com site. First block is normal and the second block is j-class but I don't know what the difference is. The colum with 28 in it is the one where you have to book 28 days in advance. Circle means lots of seats, a number like 4 or 3 is the number of seats left.

If the ANA site has similar prices and you just need a Japanese address to book your flight, pm me and you can use mine.
