joshnii 2
A friend if mine who is a teacher told me that Niigata teachers are going to have a reduced salary (down by 15%) for a number of months, due to 'the costs the ken has to put up with because of the earthquake' before summer in Niigata. This seems very suspect to me, but I have no reason to think they are lying as they are a good friend and generally pretty smart. Has anyone heard anything like that? muikabochi 208
I did actually hear something along those lines, but no details. I'll ask around. That would truly suck though if true.
tripitaka 0
A colleague was working at the Amagsaki BOE which apparently had a pretty sweet job for English teachers. 500K a month with set contact hours. Essentially a gravy train job. When Amagasaki city hit difficulties, their salaries were cut by 20%, hours increased and new contracts were starting on 250K. Roll with the punches if it's only for a few months.
