Soubriquette and I had a rare two days off to party with a cake-making maestro friend of hers, up from Tokyo. We went to the Bay of Islands, Matsushima, in Miyagi. It's a tourist hot-spot, but well worth the visit if you are in the area. The hotel had an excellent rotenburo.
