From last year, same time: Monday 23rd December 2002, 8:46AM Emperor's Birthday powder this morning with 20cm+ collecting overnight. Tuesday 24th December 2002, 7:50AM Yesterday, birthday powder continued, with night skiing providing some great turns. This morning 15cm+ of new snow has collected, and the flakes continue to fall. Wednesday 25th December 2002, 5:00PM Magical Christmas powder turns off the peak today. Morning sunshine lit up Niseko-Hirafu, providing some of the best conditions of the season. Snow pack was stable, wind mostly non-existent, and the powder quality good Thursday 26th December 2002, 9:33AM 30cm+ of new snow overnight - conditions are deep again today! At present big flakes continue to fall Friday 27th December 2002, 8:33AM 40cm+ [.db. - ****!] has fallen overnight - snorkel conditions! Saturday 28th December 2002, 7:53AM 40cm+ of new snow overnight [.db. - jesus H christ!] later in the day... Strong wind has appeared at the top of the mountain,.........Strawberries is sensational, with soft landings off many growing hits. Tetsu's is deep and untracked, Sunday 29th December 2002, 12:01PM 20cm+ of new snow overnight Monday 30th December 2002, 7:55AM 30cm+ of new snow, and big flakes continue to fall Tuesday 31st December 2002, 10:47AM Another good dose of powder overnight for the last day of 2002 =>that is 195cm+ of snow!
