me jane 0
Not the edible kind. I broke another rib yesterday. Not sure how, but probably lugging my 20-ton suitcase up to the 5th floor. First time was 7 months ago (see the SJ babies thread). Anyway the two other people I know who have broken their ribs also broke another one within a year or so. Is this just chance or does breaking one rib, somehow make you prone to breaking more?
keba 0
Get a bone density scan. Maybe a little inappropriate for the forums, but do you have any other medical problems? Celiac disease, family history of osteoporosis, etc. would be relevant. PM me if you're not comfortable in public.
me jane 0
IBS from time to time but not for a couple of years. My younger sister has RA. Does pregnancy affect bone density?

keba 0
Shouldn't do. Are you certain about the IBS? Have you been checked for Celiac disease? It's a gluten intolerance syndrome, which can casuse symptoms like IBS and can lead to malaborbtion and osteopenia at a young age. Simple screening blood test these days, with a biopsy (via a gastroscope) to confirm the diagnosis. Ask your doctor.
