When your old neighborhood burns down, it really makes living in Japan hard.

All you want to do is go home to help your homeless friends, yet what would you go home for? More than 300 homes burned down yesterday and the fire is still blazing.

I can't imagine what life would be like had I not left. All I do know is that I would be living in my truck in the super-market parking lot like everybody else who doesn't have a couch to surf. They too burned down.

The last house I lived in is gone. No news of fatalities, but by the looks of the map, I know friends' houses are gone too. I'm waiting for them to reply...

Sorry to hear that...as a fellow Cali boy, I can understand. Every year there are fires in the mountains that take houses and scenary away. the important thing is that everyone is safe, houses can be rebuilt. Hang in there...

It started as a forest fire. But all of tahoe is in a forest.

Here's a link; http://www.tahoedailytribune.com/

The link above just goes to the webpage, I'm not going to link all the articles. It's endless... and the fire is still burning after 3 days.

Here's another link to TGR forum that has actual dialogue regarding people involved.
