skidaisuki 0
I heard that following El Nino (arguably one cause of the less than great 06-07 snow season we've been through), it's now La Nina time. Does anyone know what consequences La Nina has for North West Pacific weather? Obviously I am hoping that it is the reverse of El Nino in terms of snowfall next season, but suspect it isn't as simple as that...
akafuji 0
I don't know about it. I prefer to know what consequences it might have for Japan 07/08!
skidaisuki 0
Akafuji - thanks for your message, but that's the reason why I am asking... Perhaps someone else knows the answer?
js 0
Check this site out: http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/glossary/soi.shtml On the Oz ABC Television news/weather, they give the SOI. Basically, if it's in the -ve it is less likely to rain, in the +ve more likely to rain.
