There was a thing on tv yesterday (and something on the bbc here about "technology addiction".

 

This part in particular

rings true for me. It is both convenient and very scary that there seems to be almost no escape from work now. I'm still trying to find ways to deal with it and ration myself on using machines when I didn't do and didn't need to in the past.

Any office I worked in could bugger right off if they ever thought I was on call 24. (Or even a bit over the normal hours).

 

The one thing I don't like is the feeling of things piling up so quickly if I don't check mail often.
