bobby12 0
My wife (Japanese) had a baby here in the UK 2 months ago - it went really well and I was very impressed with the professionality of the hospital and staff. However I think these things vary wildly depending on the situation, the skills of midwives vary a lot from person to person thus your experience comes down to potluck on which staff member you get and how complicated your delivery is, rather than any generic superiority of the UK/Japan over the other.
