I had no idea what the guy said, but I'm sure it was 'don't go under the lift'. Good reason for it - in places you could scrape your skis on the snow while going up chair 2. BUT.....if you know where to go, it was no problem. I just started cutting out early so they wouldn't see me. The heavy snow helped too. If I'm here next year, I gotta get down south and do some skiing there. I learned on the steeps and love it. Hachimantai has some great, albeit short, very steep runs. The front face at the bottom of the mountain is an old mining cut with a talus outrun and is anywhere from 35 to 50 degrees on it's face if not more in places. Even some steeper stuff on the backside. I'll work on some clips tomorrow to send in that will give an inkling to opportunities there. Link to post Share on other sites
