Ocean11 0
This has been done a few times before - but is there any channel you like with really good stuff? I've been playing around a bit today and find the urge to channel surf almost irresistable. Boy, I heard some boring shit today. There was some dork who started playing a track and then suddenly turning it off to say inane things - not turning it down which would have been a DJ-like thing to do, but off, completely. One had no idea when he was going to cut that crap out. He also had a really annoying flat Birmingham accent "Dave, did you like Pirates of the Caribbean?" ---- "Dave's on the other side of the studio now." ---- "Dave said he liked it" ---- So, any pointers for something better? Links please!
sakebomb 0
I enjoy listening to Triple J but I don't think that is what you would be looking for Ocean11. Sometimes I scan the itunes radio stations but am yet to find anything to concentrate on ( I think I am a compulsive channel surfer).

bettyx 0
http://www.pbsfm.org.au/Documents.asp?ID=71&Title=Webcast+%26+Webcams or rrr.org.au both melbourne stations, nice to hear an aussie voice after a long day at work. they both play some really interesting shows, & generally if one is no good the other will have something worth listening to.nowadays, jjj isn't worth wasting yr internet bandwith on. soubriquet 0
Triple J, without a doubt. Mostly contemporary, with strong Oz music content. Very respectful of the musicians. There are also some excellent late night programmes, from heavy metal to blues and roots. No top 40 stuff.
Davo 1
Not radio but this is what I go for much of the time these days http://www.radioblogclub.com/ Some blogs are awesome and you'll either get a blog containing similar types of music to your original search, or an eclectic mix. Some are crap, short, or don't work. I find it a nice middle road between downloading and radio.
Ocean11 0
Davo, that's pretty cool. I had no idea there was anything like that around. (When I was a young man, I once knew about everything on that Net thingy).
indosnm 0
JJJ for me too, but it has a not so clear sound to it over the net. Itunes I have hitz radio on in the background at school, not too offensive or hardcore for the students. When I feel like a Psy trance dose I head to philosmatica.. rocks! I wouldn't mind finding some good decent not too CM house/techno as I have dropped out of touch in tht area..
nzlegend 1
Just checked out Triple J -the sound is really tinny, only 20kbps. I like Radio Active which was recommended on this site on an earlier thread, it has broadband option for 128kbps decent quality sound, some crazy tunes too.
