Makoto 0
telf, There are many night buses from Tokyo to snow resorts. You can get their brochures at travel agencies. Problem is all brochures are written in Japanese. But I guess travel agencies must have some staff who speak English. They will help you. Have you ever taken the buses before? If no, let me advise. It's really unpleasant. Sitting in narrow seat for over 5hours. Only advantage is fare. Following is the companies who runs night buses. http://www.orion-tour.co.jp/ http://www.bigs.co.jp/index.html
Dims 0
I recently took the night bus from Yokohama to Nozawa as part of a work trip. While it was sort of fun for a while cause I was drinking with mates and had the centre back seat so I could stretch out my legs in general it really sucks. I got maybe two hours sleep maxium and I was one of the lucky ones. You need to drink or knock yourself out somehow if you want more sleep than that. My bus only stopped three times so that was good. Take the Shink if you can!
slow 0
Discount Shinkansen ticket "Skip Shin-etsu" Tokyo ⇔ Tokari Nozawa costs ¥15,980. This is cheaper than "snow liner" ¥17,000.
