If thinking of going to Gala try and get a linked ticket to Ishiuchi, much better value than Gala by itself. Whenever i have been to Ishiuchi the lift lines are non existent, it makes a good break from Gala especially on weekends. My first resort in japan was Gala, just so convenient from tokyo and i didnt know what i was doing. There are better places out there but you cant beat getting off the shink at the base station(hence the numbers).

I have heard of the BOA click wheel blowing out,never the wire breaking. You can replace the click wheel as well, probably due to this problem. My advice to anyone is to never buy a product in its first year, if it works then it will be back the next(both Boa and burton speed have been around for a few years now). Personally i use the burton speed lace system, great for getting on the mountain fast and ease of loosening tightening but still love my old lace ups.I could get the tension where i wanted on different parts of my boot.
