  2. I would probably hire a guide if i was going back to Asahidake or at least get my hands on a topo map. it's an excellent place and definitely worth going to if the snow is there but it's fairly large and it's not exactly easy to figure out what leads where. It's a pretty long drive from Sapporo as well unless you intend to fly into Asahikawa.

  5. Read some where that Akua Planet is doing their High Cascade Japan camp at Happo this year instead of Alts where i guess they usually have it. I can't find 2008 info on their website. I have also seen the metal wires on the K2's becoming unraveled on several pairs. Burton seems to me to have always had the best product on the mkt purely because they can afford the higher R&D costs and can experiment with new technologies etc. Not to mention it's super easy to pick up burton parts anywhere and the main components will be repeated on the design for multiple seasons.... if i wanted a pure step-in i would probabl
  9. 1) watch the sprocking cat in subjekt haakonsen...get inspiration. Terje is probably the best switch rider ever. (there is a rumor that he won the Baker Banked Slalom switch one year). 2) I had a buddy that used to set up his bindings opposite direction every other year b/c he thought that board sports wreaked havok on one side of your body and not the other. Not sure if he was right about that but he was excellent at riding switch. Going a whole season switch is a big ask, but a good idea if you know you'll be forced to ride w/ a slow group and race them on the groomers. 4) If y
