  3. I think Triptaka is confusing depreciation as an accounting term (spreading the cost of an asset over its lifetime, if I recall remotely correctly) and depreciation as used in common speech (losing value). At any rate your equality for depreciation is no good from an accounting perspective. Wikipedia is your friend at times like these. [edit: beaten to it]

Also, don't assume the system in Aussie is the same as in Japan. The only possible advantage from depreciation that I think can be gained is decreasing land taxes and/or ra
  6. Can you get the production brockers in blue? Hardly a deal breaker but I prefer them by far to the green.
  7. Will the carbon version really offer a noticeable improvement to a jong like me?
  8. I wish girls like that really existed. Anyway what's the rush to cross the river? It was a lovely day for a bit of toe-dipping.
  9. I don't have a link, just a file on my desktop. PM your mail address and I'll send it to you this evening, it's nice.

I knew this would happen... in the end I didn't really manage to do a lot of the stuff that I wanted to in Tokyo, so for me it was definitely a Bad Decision looking back. To think I missed FT taking a tumble in the river AGAIN!
  11. Haha, the truth will out! I didn't know that you got stuck in a tree as well! You have to wonder just where Dan's left hand is in that chairlift picture though... anyway another great couple of days out!
  12. I was comprehensively defeated by the mountain on Friday, but had an excellent time even so. There are plenty of shots of me but I'll see if anyone else wants to embarrass me. For the time being, FT takes to the skies:
  13. A while ago I downloaded this video through TGR. It's a whole bunch of lines from the 2006-2007 season, all from Hakuba as far as I can tell. FT is in it quite a bit, as well as one other Evergreen guy I don't know, a guy in orange trousers I don't know and a guy in a green shell I've not met either. For once FT doesn't make everyone else look stupid, they are a pretty solid bunch of skiers. Does anyone know who made this video clip?

  15. I am interested in brockers but would like to know price/postage details before making any decision.

You are reunited when you arrive at your hotel.
  17. Not that I have any particular desire to see more overseas visitors in Hakuba, grinch that I am, but you most definitely can courier airport -> hotel.
  18. Completely unrelated but now that I have my own skis again (well will do soon) I am up for the old Fuji san slog one of these days... April 26 or 27 sounds tempting...
  19. If I'm not skiing I may as well be boozing... I should have new skis for thursday now so I am pretty cheerful about that.
  20. You gonna be back this weekend? There's only one acceptable answer to this question.
