Only once really when I was 16. I was swimming with some friends at the beach down the street from my house and all of a sudden I felt this incredible burning pain all up my right arm - it was so painful that I blacked out in the water. I think seeing a physio or sports therapist sounds like a good idea. I think it's good to push yourself a little in order to gain mobility and improvement, but don't go too far. It'd be a nightmare to re-injure yourself after going through surgery and six months of mending!
