  1. If you are still going to ride it and as its a Burton you need to get M6x16 screws.
  2. Good to see at least one person wearing a helmet . I worries me, especially with the number of people on the slopes here, that very few people wear helmets. I even had a couple of young wannabes in their coverall jumpsuits tell me I must think I'm cool because I wear a helmet. I guess they've never ridden in Australia or New Zealand.
  3. I usually hot-wax my boards before every trip with a good flouro wax then a layer of liquid rub-on wax. At the end of each day I redo the rub-on and leave it over night. This keeps the hot wax in the base longer and keeps my board running sweet and fast. It's important to use the right wax for the snow temp as too cold a wax will come straight out and too warm a wax won't run as well. As Montoya said the p-tex dries out and you need to keep wax in it to keep it supple. Hot waxing opens up the p-tex and allows the wax to penetrate the pores. It's the wax in the base that does the work not
  4. A mate of mine was bummed as he has a week of mountain biking planned for this coming week at Buller. Yesterday the trails were closed due to the 15cm of snow but even when they do open they'll be as sloppy as hell.
  5. Might be that someone has used binding screws that are/were too long. However it was caused it's not good and riding it you do risk ripping your binding out. It's a bit hard to say without looking at the board but I'd think seriously about getting a new one.
  6. The address is 543 Minami Kawasaki Yashio-shi Saitama-ken. It's just up the street from Yashio-Minami High School. Good luck. Make sure you take your recipt/order number and be nice. The guys at the warehouse are all just part-time employees and are just trying to do their job.

Rakten advertise that shopping with them is safe and hassle free and they stand behind all their sellers. Back in October when the problem first surfaced Rakten promptly booted Rodeomaster so they wouldn't have to deal with angry customers. Avoiding responsibility is a pretty standard thing here. If you live in Tokyo the best thing to do is go out to the warehouse with you order recipt and get your gear.
  8. Hey Dan, I don't know mate, maybe, maybe not. I don't know how much leway he has. My wife and I are also off early April and really don't have time to get back out there now. I would have if we wern't having trouble with getting out car back to Australia but it's turning out to be very time consuming. I'm not sure what else you could do. Do you know anyone closer to Tokyo who could get out there for you? Sorry I can't be more helpful.
  9. Hey Dan, Do you read, or have someone who can read Japanese? If so then check out http://www7.plala.or.jp/daikou/naiyou/digest.htm. Apparently, some people who have canclled orders have had their stuff arrive on their door-step, which isn't going to help you, and others like yourself have heard diddly. From the Japanese boards no-one who has canclled orders seems to have gotten their money back so trying naiyou might be your next step. I would've been happy to go back to the warehouse if you hadn't cancelled your order but they don't have any money there it's all handled by the of
  10. Danjp good luck. The Rodeomaster management are downright useless. Quite a few people have cancelled orders and not gotten their money back either. A number of them went to the cops and they, true too form, were good for nothing. Keep trying to ring the office you may get lucky and get through but ringing the warehouse is a waste of time as they just don't answer the phone.
  11. Well it took a while but I finally got it sorted. It's not a scam just bad business planning/practise. The company usually only gets a few hundred orders for their pre-order sale but this time they got 20 000 odd and they weren't prepared for it. As they order through Europe they had trouble sourcing enough gear. In the process of it all people quit, computers were upgraded and ultimately the early orders, including mine and a few hundred others, were lost. Now, instead of saying there is a problem the boss must have just decided to say "F$#k it" I've got enough problems filling the orders I s
  12. Well the 26th has come and gone and still no bindings. I'm off to Niigata for 5 days tomorrow and if they're not here when I get back then I'm off to Shinjuku and Saitama to try and find the warehouses. I certainly hope they are still there. I'll let you all know what eventuates. Thanks for the support. Now go play outside.
  13. Maybe they are just trying to even the score since Japanese corporations own large chunks of Queensland.
  14. I paid back in Oct when they said the gear will be here in a week or so. About a week after I paid we got the "delays" e-mail then a week later the one saying they had been booted. There's a huge thread on a JP site called Heavy Snowker with like 150 posts from people in the same situation. One guy went to their "shop", a dodgy looking office in Shinjuku and spoke to the owner and he turned nasty and basically said "so sue me". If the gear doesn't turn up then I'll be contacting some FujiTV friends of mine and paying a visit to Shinjuku. Either way it's the last time I deal with these idiots a
  15. Has anyone here ordered gear from Rodeo Master through Rakten Internet shopping? I ordered some Burton Cartel bindings back in March and still haven't gotten them. Originally the shop said that they would be arriving in Oct but it came and went and nothing. In November we got an e-mail from them saying there were delays. A week or so later they had been booted from the Rakten website. They also sell through Yahoo and I found a notice saying everything will be here on the 26th but we've had no e-mails from them to confirm anything. I've tried ringing, faxing, and e-mail but no replies to anythi
