wow... so this is a late reply. Aloha Golfgirl...i'm also here in Oahu (originally from a place near Tahoe). So I went to Hakuba last season for a while, and it's definitely worth checking out. Powder for days after a dump (instead of only for a few minutes like the states). I stayed at Snowbeds (a hostel) and certainly recommend it. Bonus: they also run a bar/club that is open on the weekends. The place was full of boarders/skiers from all over and everyone was down with heading out most evenings. hope this helps!

hi everyone! so i am leaving for japan thursday. i'll be in tokyo for one week and then i'll go to hakuba on the 22nd. i'll be in hakuba for one week of *hopefully* great riding! if anyone wants to meet up, drop me a line. i'd love to meet some folks out there. also, how is the nightlife in hakuba? good bars/clubs? any info is super appreciated. well, hope to meet some of you on the slopes!

d(thingymajig)b and .stoke o.k., sorry if this problem has already been taken care of, but... if your having trouble veiwing the file on your macs (i,e. you get all the weird sybols and whatnot), you need to download windows media player for mac. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/mac71.aspx i just watched it on my mac no problem, so it should work. good luck

right on. yeah, i'll be coming from tokyo as well. not sure how. either shinkansen or bus. bus is cheaper but not so convenient. have you been to hakuba before? i keep hearing great things about riding there, so i'm really looking forward to it.
