I'm lucky enough to be in JApan for about 3 months every year. Next year I'll be around a lot in Feb hopefully which I'm well stoked about.

It'd be interesting to know what most newcomers to winter sports are deciding to take up - ie. skiing or snowboarding. And how they decide. I've been skiing for ages and snowboarding the last 5 seasons (outside of Japan) and love both, and about the same level at both (maybe a little better at skiing).
