  1. Ocean: you might be interested in this one too (about GM's electric car program).
  2. Nice looking plot there. My wife's father was born and raised in Hojo and used to swim out to that big rock in the background of your pictures (I forget the name of the island). About how long will it take for the builder to raise your barn? regarding chinning: Can't you just use a low hanging tree branch?
  3. Quote: So how big are these things? "the female measures 25 to 35 mm long, males and workers are smaller." I'm more fearful of the incredible beedogs .
  4. How about Nine Inch Nails "Closer"?
  5. Quote: spring summer autumn winter rainy typhoon cherry blossom earthquakes (一年中) You forgot boots season .
  6. Someone gave me some of that 99% chocolate yesterday. The first few moments were enjoyable, but I needed to wash my mouth out after 5 minutes to avoid the "turd tongue" sensation.
  7. Quote: I now understand why athletes do altitude training. Yeah, Iw as wondering about that in particular. Alot of my running friends in high school and college used to train in Colorado (in higher altitudes). One guy came running with us once while wearing an experimental high altitude simulator device that he wore like a backpack. It had a long tube that ran to a mask covering his mouth and nose. Some company had given it to him to test. I haven't seen anything like it recently though (only altitude chambers ). Maybe you could get one for your camper van.
  8. How'd you get that last pic, spud? Did you set the timer and throw your camera in the air? What's the dog doing all of this orienteering? And how did you feel back at the "bottom" again? How did your body react to the change in altitude returning to a lower elevation? Sorry, nothing but questions this post!
  9. This conversation was recorded for quality control, you lazy bastard.
  10. I'm trying to find the English information now. I'll post up the info when I can, or you can check on the Citicard website (I'd post it, but the PDF document kept locking up my browser). Or you can call 0120-110-785 to ask questions directly about the amount of coverage you may have. My understanding is that this "CitiAssist Insurance" is "automatic" as long as you make the aforementioned travel-related purchase with your card. The amount of coverage you get depends on the type of card you have; I believe it is handled through an partnership they have with Mitsui Sumitomo Insura
  11. If you have a Citibank Visa card, you can get some travel insurance coverage just by charging part of your travel with your card. This can include only charging something like your train fare in Japan to the airport (like NaritaExpress). Other than that, you might want to try American Home Direct.
  12. They might be "Flagging" the mail and making it appear red as a reminder to you to take some action (like read it).
  13. They were asking for it, being so cute.
  14. spud: Looks great! Congrats on the extended vacation and new locale! (Sent you a mail at your now-defunct-old addy. I'll PM the contents to you.)
  15. Cheney and Bush were talking and Cheney tells Bush, "I've got bad news. 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed today." Bush just loses it and starts saying how bad things are getting, putting his head on the desk and looking real sad. Cheney says, "George, what's wrong? I've never seen you react this way?" Bush says, "Well, Dick, just how many is a 'Brazilian'?"
