  2. i have to agree with deebee on this one. I've only had a couple of good experiences in snowboard stores in japan. One of them was in himaraya in jimbocho - not the one on the main street but the one out the back. I scored a 20k rated special blend jacket for 8000 yen i think. The dude there was super nice, when i hassled him out at the register to knock another 1000 yen off, he did. My biggest rant is the hard sell approach the shop dudes have. Everytime i ask about a board and give them my budget, they always "muriyari" sell me a board i haven't showed any interest in. One guy thought p
  3. hmm..sounds like everybody is knocking quicksilver, billabong etc because they're surf companies. Let's remember quick/roxy owns Mervin which makes GNU, lib tech and bent metal bindings. Plus if u're one to believe in street cred, Tara Dakides wears Billabong outerwear. check out transworld's site for the details. I think the most important thing in choosing pants is to make sure it's waterproof rated above 10K. nothing worse than a wet bum on the lift.   5. posted this earlier but it never showed up in the forum..hmm..anyway I have an image in mind that i want to make a stencil out of and spray paint onto my board. Anybody here have any experiences with this ? is there a specific type of paint i should use ? does the board need to prepared in anyway beforehand ? what should i cut the stencil out of ? any help would be great. cheers
  6. Hi everybody, I was thinking of heading down to yeti sumtime during the long weekend. I've noticed there aren't any rider reviews for that place. Anybody been there and know what it's like ? My main concern is that they'll be 10 million people there. Anybody got experiences/horror stories they'd like to share ? cheers
  7. Check out Bronx next time ya in Nagano city - the dude there is super nice and the prices on last years gear is usually reasonable.
