Fifth season in Flow bindings and boots. They have gone from terrible to fantastic. Step-in, yet no power gets stuck underneath. Great for places like Niseko where you have to unstrap your back foot all the time, and it's too cold to hassle around with straps. Even the cheaper plastic binding models are proving unbreakable.

Any one find any jobs? i hear positions are still available... Maybe it's just worth turning up and asking around. Only expensive thing is buying your own Hirafu lift pass, 87,000 yen...

Niseko - terrible place! Terribly deep dry powdery snow. Terribly lenient backcountry access. Terrible shortage of pass-pulling patrollers. Terribly disappointing for habitual lift-liners. Terribly exciting four new nightspots opening this season... Terrible!
