  1. This is a distressing situation. We must appeal to resorts to sell more cheese near the slopes.
  2. - is that a compliment? Sure sounds like one to me. For example, is Hakuba 47 a "cheesy" name for a skijo, or is "Star Wars" a "cheesy" film. Any thoughts on this, cheesefans?
  3. Certainly with you on the cheese issue there Davo. What a versatile and nutritious foodstuff it is? I recommend taking a few different cheeses on the slopes. For different resort/cheese recommendations see the other thread on the Forum. Cheese!
  4. Do you all agree when I say that cheese and onion are the best of friends?
  5. Lots of people come here to discuss cheese as well as winter sports. There are no other cheese-discussing communities in Japan. As far as I know anyway.
  6. A friend of mine I asked about this came back to me with the following recommendation, all you cheese lovers out there. Hunter Mountain - Edam cheese. A good one maybe.
  7. No more cheese anecdotes people? Perhaps you are busy eating the nutritious foodstuff we all love to love.
  8. I think some cheese accessories will be in next season.
  9. Some interesting combinations here - not that I agree with them all, but we all have our opinions of course. Maybe I will try some of the combinations out next season. Please do send in more - this may well end up being a chapter in my book on cheeses and their connection with non-cheese things.
  10. Not enough to find out more about their cheeses. I must do more research.
  11. What's all this offensive language about the revered foodstuff? You should never say such things about such a wonderful and nutritious foodstuff. Glad to hear that some other forum readers are coming out strongly in support of our cheeses.
  12. I just thought, have you ever used cheese for medicinal or relaxation purposes? It has many further uses apart from it's nutritional value, I do believe.
  13. Here's some of my faves: - crumbly Lanacashire on the slopes of Nozawa - smooth Edam at the modern ARAI - nutritious mature edam at Iwappara. Any more cheese/resort favorites?
  14. I'm a bit disappointed that this topic is still not near the top of the list. After all, it's relevant - who doesnt need nutritious foodstuffs - and important.
  15. I am interested in other peoples thoughts on good cheese/food and cheese/drink combinations. Any thoughts would be welcome.
  16. Grizzly bears? No, I am not interested in those creatures, although I have nothing against them. But why do you ask that - where's that coming from? My interests are purely cheese - such a versatile and nutritious foodstuff - and related topics. For example, other foodstuffs and beverages that perfectly compliment our beloved cheese.
  17. Somewhere in Hokkaido, not too far from Sapporo I believe. I heard that they also make some most delicious and nutritious cheeses in Hokkaido, thanks to some of the lovely cows that are living in that part of the country.
  18. I often find that cheese goes well with beer. There are so many different kind of cheeses that it's difficult to choose which is best. What do you think on this subject of beer and my favorite foodstuff?
  19. I think we should be keeping this important topic relevant and near the top of the list. Any further cheese anecdotes or fond memories?
  20. Yes, versatile it certainly is. So apart from it's flavor and goodness, it is useful for a variety of other reasons other than it being a foodstuff. It's much more complex than people at first imagine. I think, yes... Lets's take a moment...... Thank you.
  21. NO! This is a cheese discussion. I don't think you are taking this topic seriously enought, Mobi. Do you really like cheese or not?
