Is it peak koyo time in the mountains of Nagano and Niigata right now? Wish I could get out there. Went to Nozawa last year around now and it was SPECTACULAR. Anyone going up there?

Melted never to be seen again! It always puzzles me why every year there seems to be small sprinklings on the tops in September, and then nothing for 2 months? Any people in the know care to explain?

Yeah looks like a decent idea, but cant see the people over in mitsumate being too happy about it. Must have cost a fortune.

So what really is wrong with them? Surely if you have had a bad experience it was just the staff that you met and had contact with. You can't say the whole hotel chain stinks coz of that - can you? Is there something I am missing?
