Morning! I'm off to bed now, yawn.....

Quote:It's sooooooooooo friggin convenient to just get online anytime anywhere.
I hope that means that we will see a bit more commitment and regular posting from you on here from now on, thursday. -
Perhaps this one then
http://www.snowjapan.com/e/resorts/resortdetail.php?resid=680
(doesn't seem to be open now though, we will be checking and updating all in autumn)
-
I may be wrong, but was it Gokase Highland?
http://www.snowjapan.com/e/resorts/resortdetail.php?resid=199
(I believe that resort still operates).

Hello and welcome
These should be a start with feedback and opinions of other people:
http://www.snowjapanforums.com/ubbthreads.php/search.html
http://www.snowjapan.com/e/voice/review.php
and other places for info

hi sparkleygem and welcome
I'm sure people will come up with some tips and stuff for you. If you haven't already tried, please check out the Search link at the top there (under the colourful buttons). Good luck with it all!
PS Regarding the 'site recommendations' - we don't allow tons of links to business sites on these forums (boo! hiss!), but one place you can look is our own page here:

silly (to continue the word association thing)
-
It's ok.
-
The place for the coming season is called Wind Jacket Lodge.
I will check the details as you mention, thank you tripitaka. (The links seem to be working fine).
As I said above, please send things like that to me by PM or mail. Thanks.
-
It's ok. Thanks. Just checking all the other pages now.
Call it one of my quirks
-
That has been corrected. I presume you mean on the main page (that text is on 15 pages now)? Like I said please can mistakes be sent to us by PM or email rather than on here. Appreciate the help, thanks.

Today we have put online a completely new 'Places to Stay' section.
Details here:
http://www.snowjapanforums.com/ubbthread...html#Post278294
The section:
http://www.snowjapan.com/e/hotel/index.html
About our 'Places to Stay' section:
http://www.snowjapan.com/e/hotel/about-places-to-stay.html
The main thread (above) is a 'global announcement' type thread (comments can't be posted on that kind of thread), so this thread is for any comments you might have (something I might regret...).
But anyway, we are today going to be checking everything once again carefully but if you find any mistakes then please either email us or PM.
Thanks.

As you probably know, our Places to Stay section is basically an introduction to accommodation (none in Tokyo though), not a booking system.
The contacts on those pages are mostly direct to the hotel (with some being the people taking on the responsibility of English-language bookings on behalf of the accommodation).
Tomorrow will see some fairly major updates to that section of SnowJapan when we will be explaining a bit more about that section.

I will take the bait only once (this once).
Quote:To the moderator it seems that varied and somewhat differing opinion is not what you are seeking but a specific generic character that likens the rules on your forum to doing business in small country towns in Japan.Ludicrous.
Just a quick look around these forums will not only reveal a huge amount of 'varied and somewhat differing opinion' but also a wide range of very differing characters from all over the world.
Do we welcome trolls, trouble-makers, idiots and advertisers on these Forums?
No, we don't.
What we are certainly not seeking are members who seem to take glee in causing problems by throwing around insults at other members of the Forums and/or ourselves.
Like I said earlier today and have said before, if you don't like it here.... just go away!
-
Thanks Cambo and welcome.
Probably best to ask that question in another thread as it might get missed here. If you didn't already see it, check the Search function on the Forums (top right part of the page in the blue horizontal menu area). That should bring up a lot of information on the Forums.
Thanks

Drop Inn - if you really think these Forums are 'shit', then why are you here?
The best idea is to perhaps just not post on here rather than coming here to post such comments.
(Apologies if I misunderstood your comment).
Thanks.

Hello
If you ask us kindly Mini Me Tarzan, we might change those settings just for you.

Sorry that it has taken so long to fix this since the Forums upgrade, but it is now possible once again to post Japanese characters on these Forums.

Please use sparingly!

I've just been looking at the stats for June - IE accounted for 67.5% of traffic on the Forums.

We still need to fix up that Japanese not displaying problem. Sorry! Will get to it asap.

We have just changed the top part of the Forums (yes, I know - again!)
That top part has always been a difficult one to get right - but we think this time we might have found a system to settle with, at least for a while. We wanted to have links to popular parts of the site at the top, but the presentation of those links has always been difficult without things looking too busy. We wanted something simpler and cleaner.
As you can see there are now 5 big buttons and drop down menus appearing when you put your mouse on any of those. We can easily change the actual drop down content and so there may be some changes to that made over the coming days.
Hope you like it. (Please do let us know if this new system causes any problems on your computer).
Thanks.

Thank you skidaisuki.
There is lots to do before the season starts though, so I'm personally hoping that time doesn't fly past too quickly.
