  1. Great vid, I'll be there in 2 weeks and can't wait. Just have to hope that the snow keeps on falling...
  2. I haven't worn a helmet since my mother stopped making me when I was a kid, however after a few close encounters with trees while off piste last season am thinking of getting one this year. Does your head get hot under them? Probably won't be a problem in Japan, but if I somehow find myself on the Australian slopes again (god forbid) I could imagine it getting pretty hot under there...
  3. Yes. That area holds powder so well, awesome vid and well done on the package you got.
  4. What fantastic shots, we're definately going for a visit on the way to Myoko in a couple of weeks. Does anyone have a view on getting there from Nagano on the bus vs the train? Most of the 'offical' websites recommend the train, but I've seen a few more recent forum posts saying that the bus is easier. Any advice would be most appreciated, Thanks.
  5. We went last season for 5 days, 4 at Kanko and 1 at Suginohara. Loved Kanko with fresh falls (the top lift in the Onsen area wasn't working last season either), but went to Suginohara on a sunny Sunday and seems the weekend crowds got the best of it on the Saturday (icey at the top and slushy at the bottom, this was in March 2011). Going back in a few weeks to try Sug mid-week and interested to know if the top runs (from memory pretty steep) hold snow or are they still fairly icey? Also is a day trip to Manarao/Tangram worth a day?
