    Newcomer!
  1. top skiing, drop off was cool! I'm def gonna try head 1-2 days to Rusutsu this season
  2. Carbs do give energy, but they also help spike insulin and very much aid in the muscle growth/recovery process, lots of studies done promoting post work out carbs. Also if DOMS is an issue I find big doses of Omega 3 (especially with high DHA/EPA) and 200mb ibuprofen does an amazing job. Oh and obviously a couple of Asahi's in the onsn!
  3. for the nutrition side, I would say after a day of skiing a high carb+protein based meal.
  4. Sounds expensive for what you get. I'm pretty sure there is a guy near Niseko who offers towing via snowmobile to access untouched powder and is only 13k(could be less), apparently much better than cat skiing. Unfortunately I don't know his name / details, but you should be able to book him through your lodge/hotel.
  5. I've had shin bang for the last couple of season.. Thinking about buying 'Booster Straps'. Has anybody used these? My boots got fitted at InSki a couple of years ago, and I'm worried they are slightly big and that's why i'm getting this pain (I don't ski backseat)!
  6. I just bought Surface New Life for $300 from evo (http://www.evo.com/outlet/skis/surface-new-life-2012.aspx#image=43584.Size.LengthCM_194_Image.jpg). Pretty happy about these! I broke my Hellbents hitting a tree at full speed in Moiwa last season (v. lucky to not break any bones). Lets hope they are good. Has anybody used them?
  7. Entered! I've been on here for a couple of years but mainly just lurk; rarely post. If I win that will change! I hope I am still eligible!
