Public transport, people, culture, food, ONSEN, powder, digital lift tickets, monetary system, vending machines and green tea. Onsen especially with snow falling on face.

Cant say the same for today. We went over to 47 and Goryu and it was PACKED. Nice amount of snow falling though. Found out today that its a Japanese long weekend this weekend. May explain the crowd today. -

We hot Happo One today and I didnt think the place was too crowded at all. Some of the locals we spoke to said it was busier than normal though. We the only lift I waited in a queue for was the gondola and that was only for about 2-3 minutes. Great day skiing -

Hi all, Thanks for the awesome forum, I have been reading and learning for some time. In early January my wife and I are off to Hakuba for a couple of weeks. We are intermediate skiers but its our first time outside of Australia. We were thinking of getting a half day lesson in Hakuba mainly to learn the good places to get to. My questions are; 1. Is this a good way to find the nice spots that we like to ski? 2. What are the going rates for instructors in Hakuba? I have tried searching the forums for info, but cant seem to find anything on the topic. I appreciate
