  1. Thanks! You are right TB, it's bad circulation due to old age!! I walk around in a down jacket, furry lined sorels and padded trousers in the evenings in Hirafu (Niseko being my all time fav place to shred)
  2. I suffer from cold hands and feet and finally found the warmest mittens but at a cost! Try the Burton 3L Hover Mitten which has a goretex outer shell, a goose feather mitten liner and also a thin 'finger' liner. I don't think there is anything else warmer other than the mittens worn by arctic explorers. I am still looking for something equivalent for my feet.
  3. 6 days in Niseko (Dec/Jan) 9 days in Lake Tahoe (Feb) 6 days in Whistler (next week) It will have been an epic season for me as I usually only get 6 days per season.
  4. Thanks GN - I'll be prepared to unstrap and hike a bit I guess.
  5. I'm thinking of visiting Niseko in the next couple of weeks as I have some airmiles to use up. Can anyone advise whether I can still access Annupuri from the Grand Hirafu side? I think the highest lift still operating on the Hirafu side is the King no. 4 lift so just wondering whether that's high enough for me get over to Annupuri. Thanks in advance.
