Hey How come your pics aren't watermarked by SJ ? -
Ventured up Hirafu today and it was looking ok down low - what are with these things ? Snowbikes ? The higher i went the nastier it got. Wind packed and hard up top with zero visibility. Off course still pretty bad - mainly tracked with 'dust on crust' managed one fun line through Miharashi...not sure if the Gondola cue was worth it though. Did spot this cool jacket while waiting ! Seems like leather is all the rage this year

Hi Guys - appreciate everyone being involved and great to see other pics added This thread started as a means to share part of the season with MIKE POW who unfortunately can't be here this season. I am guessing most people on this thread know Mike Pow who kept an awesome thread going all the way through the season with tons of sweet pics. It is a free world and all but if you want to have personal conversations on this thread why not just email that stuff or start another thread - no offense - maybe the niseko check in thread? Kinda keen on pics and basic commentary

Yo Yo Yo well been a while since i last posted anything but here goes. Was a strange start to the season and for quite a while there wasn't much happening and then BAM Super course has been fantastic Yestreday was bang on in Miharashi and my buddy Adrian Capm was in fine form. Classic early season conditions deep dry fast snow with plenty of features to enjoy + the odd bit of sasa clearing ! Thumbs up Niseko !

Missed the Niseko opening last weekend but the lure of Kurodake's opening on the 20th was too much Jumped on the the ropeway with a small crew and 7 mins later it was ON. After a couple runs the opening ceremony kicked in which was pretty quick this year - 10 mins later it was back on. Great conditions up there a meter + and cold. Wasn't expecting awesome powder but thats what the handful of people up there for the day got. The sun even came out after a few hours.....i love Kurodake !!!

Wanted to do a post for MikePow - "Fortune favors the Brave" Yesterday with my buddy Chico at around 7:30 we hiked up the Hirafu Resort to the the top of the the Ace quad lift. The Sun was off and on but the pow was looking and feeling good, about 40 -50 cm at the base of Alpen We pushed on and as we got higher the weather turned and it started snowing heavily - luckily this Hirafu staff member passed us on his sled and made a sweet trail for us up the switch back Made it to the top of Alpen and it was COLD up there - 8 on the big daddy ther
