I used to enjoy nighta much when I was younger. The best I went to was Ishiuchi Maruyama in Shiozawa town in Niigata. It is quite large area. I heard about Niseko but I never went there. Perhaps I should try it.

Naeba vs Kagura

For families and the like, I think Naeba is better. Kagura is much more open and stretch out and for people who love powder and trees and making a bit hiking. -
My parents took me when I was young to Nagano ken. We lived in Mie at the time. I was addicted right away!
