  1. Nice photos Miller! Especially love the last 2 with all that near-to-hand and virtually untracked powder - I trust that you slashed it shortly afterwards!
  2. I like the yellow detailing on the 2nd one but overall, it looks too busy - there's too much going on! The 1st one therefore gets my vote - the top 3 dials remind me of the classic dial layout in a Porsche 911 dashboard!
  3. Funny you should say that because in the event that I only have 2 weeks to play with (which may happen), that's my Plan B!! Should that come to pass, any Hokkaido recommendations apart from the normal suspects?
  4. Ok, I’m going to take a leaf out of Ippy’s book and ask for your thoughts and suggestions on my trip back down to Kanto at the beginning of March. My criteria is as follows:- 1. I’ve got about 3 weeks to kill; 2. I’m on budget, as this will all be courtesy of my good friend, VISA; 3. I’m using public transport (mainly trains, as I’ll be armed with a trusty seishun 18 kippu) so will be carrying my snowboard bag; 4. I’d like powder and trees (wouldn’t we all) but to be honest, I’m just interested to try out some new resorts. So with all that in mind, here’s my p
  5. Apologies for resurrecting an old post but seeing as though this one ended up with a Hakkoda flavour, I've got a Hokkoda question for Yamabushi or anyone else - is there any budget accommodation near the ropeway?? I know there are no hostels about but I thinking more along the lines of a minshuku? If not, any reasonably-priced hotel options/recommendations would be gratefully received! Cheers guys!

Cheers Ippy! & I've just seen Black Mountain's reply about Ryuoo - sounds like a winner if only for the free snow mobile ride!
  7. Yeah, can definitely see the split board market exploding in the near future!
  8. So am I correct in assuming that the Charlie is now going to remain in one piece? I voted for the QK but would have gone for Charlie if it was a 158! & have you found cheap accommodation for Ryuoo yet as I'm about to start planning/booking my trip? I'm toying with the idea of starting a new post or would you have any objections to me hijacking yours, seeing as we're going to some of the same places??
  9. Talking of which KD, we still haven't met up!! I'm having the weekend off but should be up there on Monday if you're about? How does the Downhill restaurant at the top of the Furano ropeway for elevenses sound?

  12. That's one helluva scary-ass video Certainly makes you (well me, at least) think twice about riding alone through the trees!!
