I hear ya. Its the flip side of my coin.

I'm a skier. Boarding looks like fun butI figure I should focus on skiing for now so i can continue to improve and sometime in the future give boarding a go.

I was at a ski shop in Tokyo today and was told that skis and ski boots should only be kept for 5 - 6 years. After that time the synthetic material in the boots start to deteriorate. Is that crap or is that for real????

I grew up in Australia and never even saw a pair of skis until I moved to Japan at the age of 25. I was hooked on Japanese snow from there (especially Hokkaido). Now I'm 34 and still here and still lovin it!!! The people, food, culture and snow are all sensational here.
