  1. I plan to be snow playing in 3 days time Perisher here I come woo hoo
  2. There is plenty of slopeside accommodation at Shiga Kogen and any easy commute from Tokyo. See Resorts & Places to stay at the top of this forum, you won't find a better source.

The 3 dots are known as ellipsis and are designed to allow the reader to insert either the start (as here) or the end of the conversation/sentence. 4 dots is just a stutter. Example, from Wikipedia ... The use of ellipsis can either mislead or clarify, and the reader must rely on the good intentions of the writer who uses them. An example of this ambiguity is "She went to … school." In this sentence, "…" might represent the word "elementary." Om

  5. Visual, of course I am a visual person - it is a beach ball doing a shoulder press
  6. I want to hear your cumulative scores at the end of each week. ONE-POINT DARES 1. Ignore the first five people who say 'good morning' to you. 2. To signal the end of a conversation, clamp your hands over your ears and grimace. 3. Leave your fly open for one hour. If anyone points it out, say, "Sorry, I really prefer it this way". 4. Walk sideways to the photocopier. 5. While going in an elevator, gasp dramatically each time the doors open. 6. When in elevator with one other person, tap them on the shoulder and pretend it wasn't you. 7. Finish all yo
  7. Ta Bag Yes it was quiet, being winter and all. We tagged the trip on at the end of a couple of weeks ski time. Actually did it as a long day trip out of Tokyo though spending an overnighter in Nikko would be better. Plenty of reasonably priced ryokan around at that time of year. The waterfall is Kegon Falls just 300 metres from the main street of Chuzenji Onsen. My waterfall pic is quite a contrast to Muikabochi's summer shots earlier in this thread - both in content & photographic quality (I suspect Muika's gear is a lot more sophisticated than my point & shoot Fujifilm). 8. I am sure they are cute but............... In Feb the crew from Lodge Nozawa organised a bus to the monkeys. 10 folks put up their hands to go the next morning We had 40 cm overnight & funnily enough they could not find a driver let alone 10 punters to go. There are no Monkey-friends on a powder day.
  9. The question is why is this emoticon called a wakaranai when all the others are in understandable english?

If you are around Thredbo/Perisher in the next few weeks or Nozawa/ Shiga Kogen next February keep an eye out for the "licorice allsort" black & green flash.
  15. Cute pic Curt, but I am not sure how it relates to the topic?
  16. I have already chosen my seat on my Feb flight from Oz to Narita, though being Jetstar there will be no gaurentees they honour it and of course the flight times will probably change 3 or 4 times Though to be fair I did get my selected seat last year booked 4 months in advance.
