By train and public transport

Kazawa Snow Area is about 13km from Omae Station on the Agatsuma line.


The larger Manza Kazawaguchi Station on the same line is a little further away.


Ueda Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen line is just under 31km from Kazawa Snow Area.


There is no ski area shuttle bus service, but usually a public bus service operates from Ueda to nearby Shin Kazawa Onsen.


A taxi from Manza Kawaguchi Station takes about 25 minutes.


A taxi from Ueda Station takes about 40 minutes.

By road

Kawaza Snow Area is about 21.5km from the Tobu Yunomaru IC exit and just less than 27km from the Ueda Sugadaira IC exit of the Joshinetsu Expressway.


The ski area is just off Prefecture Road 94 about 3.5km from Route 144 in the Tashiro area of Tsumagoi village.


From the Tobu Yunomaru IC exit, turn left onto Prefecture Road 81 and then soon left onto Prefecture Road, right again and then right once more until reaching the Mihari traffic lights. Turn left at the traffic lights onto Prefecture Road 94. Continue on this road for just under 18km, going past Yunomaru along the way, until reaching the turn off for Kazawa Snow Area.


There is free parking for 800 vehicles at the base of the ski area.
