It is a nice clear day with blue sky over the mountain tops and it is snowing very lightly at the moment but the weather is clear and visibility perfect. There has been around 5cm of snow accumulate on the ground in the village with more on the slopes themselves. It wont be a deep powder day but the groomers will be nice and fresh with the new snow. Clouds will likely roll in later in the day and more snow is on the forecast. After being spoiled with a nice coating yesterday we don't have a great outlook for fresh snow during the day but with luck we will awake tomorrow with better news. Having said that we will have good conditions out there with a nice temperature and little wind once it drops a tad as the day warms. Expect the day to be a little cloudy for the session. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . The winds over the weekend that made conditions feel exceptionally cold have gone now. Overnight there has been a small amount of fresh snow amounting to 4cm in the village. More snow light snow is forecast all through today, although at the moment the snow has not arrived. Fingers crossed that the forecast is correct and the snow does arrive later today. It is a mix of broken cloud with plenty of blue skies breaking through and no wind. Visibility is perfect and the main courses have been groomed but will be nice and soft now with the new snow. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . There are strong winds blowing around the base area and these are forecast to continue throughout the day. Although temperatures are not particularly cold the wind chill factor will be high. There has been 7cm of snow so far and the snow will continue through until tomorrow evening which is good news. Kitanomine Gondola operation is on hold at the moment and it is expected it will not be able to operate at all today due to the wind. Temperatures have taken a serious turn back to hard core double negatives, so think about dressing a bit more warmly than over the last few days. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . A snow front arrived late yesterday and is continuing to dump snow all over Furano. Cars are driving around Furano with 20cm of snow on their roofs and graders have been ploughing the roads since early morning. Temperatures have gone back to mid winter norms which means the quality of the powder is very very good. Visibility wont be perfect today but the powder should make up for that. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Wow its going to be a pearler out there. Even the snow plougher for the hotels were out before 4:20am so they are super excited. A good 10cm fell overnight so it should great under foot today. Currently its a very light fall and there is no wind to disturb it. We should have snow showers continuing throughout the day to keep the slope lively.
