The latest Furano Now report can be found here . If you feel the winter chill when you step from the inside to outdoors you will not be alone. Temperatures today are well into the double negatives, with -12c in the village. There has been a nice little accumulation of 5cm of fresh snow overnight and it is snowing lightly at the moment. All lifts are operating and the mountain has been extensively groomed. Judging by the queues for the first lift there wont be many on the mountain for the early morning first tracks. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . A perfect day out there with another 10cm overnight with more to come this afternoon. In fact we are hoping for some heavy falls this afternoon before the temps drop rapidly tonight to -20c At the moment it is pleasant and no winds. Nice dry powder that Furano is famous for will have you swimming in a nice depth today and hopefully you will be able to track all day. There is around 5cm of new snow in the village which promises good snow conditions on the mountain this morning. The winds is whipping around the village are making things feel particularly cold so it would be advised to dress warmly. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Light cloud is covering the upper part of the mountain but this is not interferring with visibility at the moment. Temperatures remain cold with -25c recorded at the top of the resort this morning, while at the base it is not much different at -23c. There was a small accumulation of snow that occured yesterday afternoon at around 5cm. Further light snow is forecast for today, nothing for Thursday and then Friday night onwards through until Monday there is continuous snow on the radar. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Overnight there has been 20cm of new snow at base level and substantially more at higher elevations. A light breeze is present with overcast skies, and visibility is good. For tomorrow expect an increase in wind speed and temperatures will rise to just under freezing. The rest of the week looks set to deliver premium conditions with significant snow forecast continuously through until Monday. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . The forecast was spot on and we have woken up to 10cm of new snow in the village. It is snowing heavily at the moment and the snow is accumulating quickly on the ground. Nedless to say with yesterdays 20cm, and todays 10cm, there are going to be some very inviting powder stashes. Visibility is fair but there will be some low light areas due to the cloud and snow precipitation. The current weather will continue throughout the day and the snow looks like it will continue all week. Temperatures are not cold today but will dive down to double negatives tomorrow. It is a return to good weather after a marginal weekend or warm temperatures and windy conditions that saw the slopes soften up and refreeze to a frosty finish. There has been 20cm of new snow accumulate in the village since yesterday and the snow radar is looking very encouraging with snow forecast right throughout the remainder of the week with the heaviest falls for tomorrow morning through midday. Weather is sunny at the moment but clouds will roll over the tops later in the day. Great to see snow this morning and as planned it is enough to bring conditions back up a notch up there after it was getting heavy and sticky yesterday. Still not quite enough to get the powder flowing through the ankles but it should continue today on and off lightly and tonight we should see some decent centimetres to start the week as one we haven't seen for a couple. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Yesterday saw a warm front arrive that has now passed, and overnight there has been an additional 10cm of new snow. Stepping outside the first thing you will notice will be the wind which is blowing in gusts moderately at base level and stronger at the mountain top. There has been no indication by the resort so far that this will affect lift operations. The winds will reduce as the day progresses. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Late report after a star day yesterday of powder and a warm day today. Great conditions for the weekend but the winds have picked up again this afternoon. These are the same winds we saw briefly last night. We have had a good steady flow of powder over the weekend but with warmer conditions it doesn't add to the base. Snow showers should continue into the night and with luck the winds will disappear again for tomorrow but there is a chance of persistence. The morning started with some firm conditions on the lower mountain but as the morning has progressed the snow base has softened and is skiing really well right now. It will firm up again as temperatures fall after lunch and the solar effect disppears. The fresh snow on the upper mountain is a little heavier than usual. There was some light snow come through this morning, but didn't accumulate to much. It is expected there will be a little more snow fall this afternoon. Wintery cold is the feeling that will hit when you step outside today with temperatures feeling rather chilly at -11c and will be like this until the end of the week. There has been a few cm of new snow which has put a nice layer of fresh powder on top of perfectly groomed runs. The weather is cloudy at the moment, and it is unlikely the cloud will break up and allow the sun through.
