Another day, another round of snow for Furano. The moderate to heavy snow started last night and has continued throughout the morning. We're seeing fresh accumulations of up to 15cm+ all over everywhere, and you can practically feel the excitement in the air. This is exactly what the Kitanomine Zone needed to touch up those places where the snow wasn't quite as deep as we all would like it to be.
The snow is piling up in places and creating plenty of pockets of deep powder for your skiing and boarding enjoyment. The temperatures are not so cold, clocking in at a reasonable -3 at this, the noon hour. Winds are slight to non-existent, meaning that the snow is falling straight down in blankets, and it looks like it's going to keep on coming for a little while longer. For those of you who enjoy skiing the fresh runs, today is your day to be out on the mountain!
