The latest Shiga Kogen Now report can be found here . Hello from Shiga Kogen. Can't say I was expecting that bout of snow (but perhaps it's because my mind is unavoidably partly elsewhere now). Kumanoyu are this morning reporting 20cm of fresh again; Yakebitaiyama being shy with a number. But there's a nice decent layer of fresh snow out there for anything willing to partake. After the snow, sunshine and clearer skies. All areas and connections at Shiga Kogen remain open. We are due a day of sunny skies, but it shouldn't warm up too much. Tomorrow sun is on the forecasts again with somewhat warmer temperatures rising into low double digits. It is really good that people who are here can get to enjoy this layer of fresh snow over these last few days of the season. The latest Shiga Kogen Now report can be found here . Hello from Shiga Kogen where... it's snowing and it is cold. I have seen what would be different numbers in areas, but I have measured 22cm. Yakebitaiyama are actually reporting 35cm (and my enthusiastic friend is boasting of over 40cm). Bottom line - a good new layer of snow which will really freshen things up. Perhaps more during the day but it will have cleared up by tomorrow. All areas and connections at Shiga Kogen remain open. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here . Seki Onsen wins the prediction award for the day. Okay, 25cm of fresh is not super heavy, but it is the best one-day since February 28. So we will take it. Pretty heavy, compressible snow, so some can get out early and enjoy (it will get bumpy pretty fast out there). Let's see how this helps some of the slopes, though! Could pack down nicely and help out with some of those bare spots. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here . There is some snow on the ground this morning - even down to base. The resort is reporting 15cm on the top areas. The overnight snowfall has eased off for the moment and it is just cloudy now but expect more to come in soon. I will continue to report the season as it is, but I'm sorry if I have less words for you just at the moment. Everything just seems so... odd. A good new layer of snow that will certainly see us through until the planned end of the season - which is just one week away now.
