Good morning from Nozawa.
After that blast of winter yesterday (resort reporting another 8-9am on mountain by mid afternoon), it is cloudy this morning with some limited visibility down low - better higher up - at the start of the day.
The forecast is for sunny spring like warmth once again tomorrow..
Fresh snowfall recorded by resort since yesterday:
- Yamabiko (1407m): 8cm
- Uenotaira (1230m): 9cm
- Lower areas are not reporting any more
Official snow depth numbers (reported by resort):
- Yamabiko (1407m): 195cm
- Uenotaira (1230m): 110cm
- Lower areas are not reporting any more
The following lifts are operating:
- Nagasaka gondola [8:10am until 3:00pm; last one down 3:40pm]
- Yamabiko quad [8:30am until 3:20pm]
