  • Hakuba Now: Friday 4th April 2025

Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano New snowfall at base 0cm Snowfall at base this season 782cm Posted on Friday 4th April 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here . Greetings from Hakuba. Some mixed weather early on this morning, with a bank of cloud around the mountains... but blue sky and sun at upper areas. Visibility is ranging from good to poor, depending on where you are. But I think the clouds are going to make way for some sunny skies today. Would be nice. Sun and pleasant conditions are expected tomorrow. Hakuba 47 is boasting 'Stiff morning!' on social media today. Well, that's the funny auto-translate, anyway. They are talking about some hard/crusty conditions early on. Ah, as much as I love posting these reports, I'm so looking forward to not having to check ski area official social media every morning come May. In the meantime, the funny translations make that part of the routine almost bearable. :) -------------------------------- ABLE Hakuba Goryu Official snow depth: Upper: 375cm Toomi: 140cm Lifts operating: Goryu Telecabin gondola Alps Number 1 Alps Number 3 Toomi Sky four quad Courses available: Panorama Grand Prix Super Technical Champion Dynamic Woody Toomi Iimori section is now closed You can still ski/board back down to base Planned closing date: Tuesday 6th May 2025 ---------- Hakuba 47 Winter Sports Park Official snow depth: Top: 355cm Base: 100cm Lifts operating: Gondola Line A-B pair Line C quad Line E pair Courses available: All open apart from Tree Riding Zones and Lower R7 You can still ski/board back down to base Planned closing date: Tuesday 6th May 2025 ---------- Hakuba Happo-one Official snow depth: Kurobishi: 400cm Usagidaira: 222cm Nakiyama: 70cm Lifts operating: Grat quad Alpen quad Usagidaira pair Happo Riesen quad Nakiyama 3 triple Adam Gondola Panorama pair Kokusai 3 pair Kurobishi Number 2 quad Skyline Number 2 pair Courses available: Most runs remain open You can still ski/board back down to base Planned closing date: Tuesday 6th May 2025 ---------- Hakuba Norikura Onsen Official snow depth (as reported by the ski area): 225cm Lifts operating: Number 1 pair Number 3 pair Number 4 pair Number 5 pair Planned closing date: Sunday 6th April 2025 ---------- Tsugaike Mountain Resort Official snow depth: Upper: 296cm Lower: 104cm Lifts operating: Eve Gondola Han-no-ki pair Tsuga Number 2 pair Han-no-ki Number 3 quad Tsugaike Chuo triple You can still ski/board back down to base The Ropeway is open on Fridays, weekends and 26th April through 6th May; separate ticket and climbing notification required Planned closing date: Tuesday 6th May 2025 --------------- The following ski areas are now closed for the 2024-2025 season Hakuba Cortina Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field Jigatake Kashimayari Skijo Family Park White Resort Hakuba Sanosaka Hakuba Now 2024-2025 season Data as Friday 4th April 2025 Total snowfall at base so far 782cm Number of days snowfall observed at base 74 days Most snowfall observed in 1 day 38cm (28th December) November 2024 snowfall 42cm reported on 3 days December 2024 snowfall 278cm reported on 21 days January 2025 snowfall 235cm reported on 19 days February 2025 snowfall 179cm reported on 20 days March 2025 snowfall 48cm reported on 11 days April 2025 snowfall 0cm Previous report Next report All snowfall data presented on this page is the snowfall measured and observed at base/town level by our reporter based in Hakuba. • Furano Now: Friday 4th April 2025

Independent snow and weather reporting from the Furano region of Hokkaido New snowfall at base 3cm Snowfall at base this season 513cm Posted on Friday 4th April 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Good morning spring skiers and boarders. Woke up this morning to the sound of snow sliding off my roof. Had about 3 cm, and it was just warm enough that it wasn't sticking to the roof. Normal spring lift ops today. Take the Ropeway to the top and ski up there. It's supposed to be sunny and +10 C the next several days, so looks like it will be pretty nice. Remember, in the spring, Universal Wax is your friend. Not to go faster...just to stop your skis from grabbing and sending your over the tips. Enjoy. Think snow. ** Furano Zone Lift B (aka Furano Quad) is closed for the season due to mechanical failure. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here . Early again today, but we are now in post-season mode. Even though I’m out on the Akakan golf course for the second of two cross-country races (and we’re talking about more than 400 competitors each day!). Nice to see the young people from the region coming out for some good competition, although I hope today without the cold wind and snow of yesterday. Makes it hard to write out the check lists of bib numbers. Wet paper and pencil holes.... And we did have snow pretty much throughout the day, with light snow still falling at the moment. Not a lot of accumulation, though; nothing on the roads, really, but about 7 cm on my car so that’s the official figure for today. Again, too early so not much on new reports from the remaining resorts, but I’ll keep sending news when something comes up.
