Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 0cm
Snowfall at base this season 782cm

Posted on Friday 4th April 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

Greetings from Hakuba.

Some mixed weather early on this morning, with a bank of cloud around the mountains... but blue sky and sun at upper areas.

Visibility is ranging from good to poor, depending on where you are.

But I think the clouds are going to make way for some sunny skies today. Would be nice.

Sun and pleasant conditions are expected tomorrow.

Hakuba 47 is boasting 'Stiff morning!' on social media today. Well, that's the funny auto-translate, anyway. They are talking about some hard/crusty conditions early on.

Ah, as much as I love posting these reports, I'm so looking forward to not having to check ski area official social media every morning come May. In the meantime, the funny translations make that part of the routine almost bearable. :)
