- Myoko Now: Monday 31st March 2025
Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata New snowfall at base 7cm Snowfall at base this season 1591cm Posted on Monday 31st March 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here . Early again today, but we are now in post-season mode. Even though I’m out on the Akakan golf course for the second of two cross-country races (and we’re talking about more than 400 competitors each day!). Nice to see the young people from the region coming out for some good competition, although I hope today without the cold wind and snow of yesterday. Makes it hard to write out the check lists of bib numbers. Wet paper and pencil holes.... And we did have snow pretty much throughout the day, with light snow still falling at the moment. Not a lot of accumulation, though; nothing on the roads, really, but about 7 cm on my car so that’s the official figure for today. Again, too early so not much on new reports from the remaining resorts, but I’ll keep sending news when something comes up.
